2. Update often. Your website should offer the same information a customer would get when speaking to you or coming to your business. Frequently updated sites get better search engine rankings.

3. Make the site attractive. A recent Stanford University study found that over 50% of visitors’ judge the professionalism of the company based on how well designed the web site is. Just because someone can build a website does not mean they can design one.

4. Make your point. You’ve got 5 seconds to impress someone with your content. Don’t turn them off with a cluttered homepage or too many navigation choices. Make those seconds count!

5. You can please everyone! Provide as much information about your product and services as possible. If the information is laid out properly you can please everyone – those who just want the facts and those who want to research a company before buying.
